Our Beginnings
Midway Covenant Christian School was founded in 1996 as a ministry of Midway Presbyterian Church in Powder Springs, GA. The school was started with the intention of providing classical Christian education to families of Midway Presbyterian Church and to other Christian families in the community.
In 1996, the school began with a kindergarten class. Over the course of the next 8 years, a class was added each year until MCCS grew into a school that offered K4-8th grade classes. We currently have two classes per grade up until 8th grade.

A Reputation for Excellence
MCCS has a reputation for graduating students who are capable of achieving academic excellence as they continue their educational growth. Our students have continued their education in private Christian education, competitive magnet programs, and in public schools. Midway provides a solid education foundation that focuses on teaching students the joys of learning and the development of Christian character.
The Lion Rampant
Our school logo is represented by a rampant lion on a blue shield. The lion is representative of both our classical and Christian nature. The rampant lion has been used by Christian communities since the middle ages to represent strength, bravery, and royalty. It serves as a reminder that our true strength rests in Jesus Christ, the Lion of Judah.
